- Community Housing:While they can be housed in a community tank, it must be large enough and contain only peaceful, non-aggressive tankmates, such as snails or certain small fish.
- Intelligent & Active:They are known for being intelligent and responsive to their owners and their environment.
- Tank Size:A properly sized aquarium with stable, well-maintained freshwater conditions is essential.
- Water Parameters:The ideal water conditions include a pH between 6.5 and 7.5 and a temperature of 75-82°F (24-28°C).
- Diet:A high-protein diet of Betta-specific pellets is recommended, with occasional live food like brine shrimp or mosquito larvae.
