Why Shallow Feeders Work for Brachycephalic Dogs

Flat-faced breeds — brachycephalic dogs like pugs, French bulldogs, bulldogs, and Boston terriers — have difficulty reaching food in deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. Shallow slow feeder trays provide the perfect depth: easy to reach but still textured enough to slow eating, reduce gulping, and provide mental enrichment at every meal.

Mealtime Enrichment in Every Bite

The SodaPup Water Frog eTray transforms mealtime into an engaging mental workout for your dog. Inspired by the intricate patterns found on water frogs, the surface design features layered ridges, curves, and pockets that hold food in place while encouraging your dog to lick, nudge, and work through each section — mimicking the natural foraging behavior dogs are hardwired to enjoy.

Made from FDA-compliant, BPA-free polypropylene, the Water Frog eTray's shallow design is easy on sensitive muzzles and comfortable for brachycephalic breeds that need extra care at mealtime. Use it fresh, freeze it with wet food or pureed treats for a long-lasting lick session, or run it through the dishwasher for effortless cleanup. It's the everyday enrichment tool your dog didn't know they needed.
