OB Peacock Cichlids, scientifically known as Aulonocara sp., are a vibrant and popular choice for African cichlid aquariums. They are characterized by their striking, multi-colored (often orange, red, or yellow blotches on a blue or grey base) patterns, which vary significantly between individuals, making each fish unique according to Whitlyn Aquatics. These cichlids are known for their semi-aggressive and territorial behavior, especially during breeding, and typically reach a size of up to 6 inches (15 cm).
