Tank & Care
- Tank Size:A minimum of a 5-gallon tank is recommended for a single female, but larger tanks, such as 20 gallons or more, are needed for a "sorority" (a group of females).
- Environment:They require a tropical freshwater environment with a stable temperature of 78–82°F (25–28°C) and a pH range of 6.5–7.5.
- Tank Setup:Ample plants and hiding places, such as caves and ornaments, are essential.
- Diet:They are carnivores and should be fed a high-quality diet of betta pellets, supplemented with live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp.
